Putting STORM Together

Storm sections ready for assembly...

There are 31 separate sections to Storm. 29 of them are shown in this build-up slideshow.

The guns were left indoors for safety!

Rear fender to fender base...

The first job is to fit the rear fender to the fender base, this is held in place by six hex bolts.

The motor unit...

This is then placed over the motor unit. The motor unit contains the batteries (2x70 amp), the water pump and all other running gear including the fuse box and breaker.

Four domed nuts hold everything down tightly onto the motor unit.

Next, the skirt is fitted...

This just slides into place and is fixed to the base with two hex bolts. The skirt also bolts to the rear fender with six more hex bolts.

This keeps everything in place and makes sure all of the other fender parts will mate up correctly.

Pump cover plate & switch...

The pump cover plate and switch is next. This just clips onto the motor unit.

The feed for the pump is fed through and the switch connected up. The drive cable for the motors is passed through.

Shoulder section...

Next the shoulder section is fitted, This is held in place by another two hex bolts.

Gun holders...

Then the shoulder gun holders are fitted.

These locate over a thin dowel and are secured by one hex bolt on each one.
