Testing, testing...

All connections are tested to make sure that everything is working, as it is supposed to, at each stage of the build up.

It's a lot easier than stripping it all down again.

Blackout...

Next the detail blackout cover panels are fitted inside the skirt. These are illuminated and without them in place you would be able to see through the skirt.

Four small wood screws hold each of these in place.

Seat & controller...

The seat and the controller assembly is fitted. This hooks under the motor unit and is held in place by two bolts.

It is tested to make sure everything works OK.

Fitting the backpack...

Two hex bolts and big washers hold this in place.

The cables for the lighting and the cooling fans are passed through the shoulders and the rubber seal is pressed into the shoulders to hide the wires.

The cooling fans are fitted...

These are connected using phono leads and are a key hole twist fit: locate them and twist them half a turn and they are fitted.

They run from 2 AA batteries and can run for days even with cheap brands.

Neck cage...

Next the neck cage is fitted. Four small wood screws hold this in place.

The dome...

The dome is the next thing to be fitted. This is held in place by one pivot pin.

There are no wheels in the dome rotation, it spins with ease on the flat surface of the neck cage.
